Dark Chocolate and Parmesan Grilled Cheese

  • 4 slices country bread
  • Butter, for bread
  • 2 tablespoons ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 ounces dark chocolate, coarsely chopped


Lightly spread one side of each bread slice with butter. Evenly divide ricotta between two bread slices and then evenly sprinkle the chocolate and Parmesan over the ricotta. Top with remaining bread slices.

Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place sandwiches in the warm skillet and cook on one side until golden brown and cheese begins to melt, 2 to 4 minutes.

Flip sandwich over and cook until golden brown and cheese is completely melted, 2 to 4 additional minutes. Let cool 2 minutes before cutting in half.
